This
privacy statement applies to Information Highway's ("iHiway")
services, including its iHiwayMail service. Questions not
addressed in this statement should be sent to privacy@iHiway.com.
It is important to iHiway to help its customers retain their
privacy when they take advantage of all the Internet has
to offer. iHiway will soon be a member of TRUSTe, an independent,
non-profit initiative that exists to help people feel confident
about using the Internet.. TRUSTe aims to build this confidence
by promoting the principles of disclosure and fair information
practices among the Web sites that participate in the program.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and developing
technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online

TRUSTe Certification
iHiway will soon be registered under the TRUSTe privacy
program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit initiative
whose mission is to build users' trust and confidence in
the Internet by promoting TRUSTe's principles of fair information
practices.
Because your privacy is important to us, iHiway agrees to
maintain the confidentiality of your personal information
provided to iHiway, such as name, address, gender, year
of birth and occupation. This personal information will
not be given to any third parties.
iHiway will not disclose your Personal Information unless
acting under a good faith belief that such action is necessary
to: (1) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal
process; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of
IHiwayMail; (3) enforce the iHiway Terms of Service; or
(4) act to protect the interests of its members or others.
iHiway will not send you any unsolicited information, including
emails, except as mentioned . New users will receive a iHiway
welcome letter explaining the features provided by the service.
Under certain circumstances, iHiway may be required to send
you information about changes to the Service or your account,
but iHiway will not send you unsolicited email regarding
any commercial offers or advertisements at any time.

and we will use all commercially reasonable efforts to promptly

What is TRUSTe ?
TRUSTe is an independent organization whose mission is to
build users' trust and confidence on the Internet. Businesses
that display the TRUSTe logo have agreed to privacy principles
developed by TRUSTe and to periodic reviews to make sure
that the businesses' privacy practices are in keeping with
the policies. In the event TRUSTe learns of serious violations
of a businesses' privacy practices, TRUSTe takes steps to
insure compliance. iHiway believes in the TRUSTe mission
and is a premier sponsor of the organization.
Does IHiway belong to any other privacy organizations?
iHiway is investigating membership in the Online Privacy
Alliance and the P3P Working Group at the World Wide Web
Consortium (W3C).
What are Cookies?
Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers
to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes.
Cookies can make the Web more useful by storing information
about your preferences on a particular site. The use of
cookies is an industry standard, and many major Web sites

Is my personal information secure from others using the
iHiway site?
Personal Information collected by iHiway is stored in secure
operating environments that are not available to the public.
Can someone learn of my Personal Information while visiting
another site?
In addition to directly providing information to iHiway,
you might also provide Personal Information through chat
sessions, email exchanges or bulletin board use made available
to you on other sites. Chat sessions and bulletin board
or newsgroup use is considered public and you are responsible
for your actions in these areas. The iHiway Privacy Statement
does not cover this type of transfer of your Personal Information.
